Social Media and Groups Rules of Engagement

To foster a respectful and inclusive online community within the Take It Back (TIB) Global Movement, we have established the following rules of engagement for social media platforms and online groups associated with our organization. These rules aim to create a safe space for constructive dialogue, collaboration, and the exchange of ideas. By participating in our social media channels and online groups, you agree to abide by these guidelines:

  1. Respectful Communication:

    • Treat others with respect, kindness, and empathy. Avoid engaging in personal attacks, hate speech, or any form of discriminatory language.
    • Use inclusive and inclusive language that promotes diversity and understanding.
    • Engage in constructive discussions and debates, focusing on the issues rather than attacking individuals.
  2. Open-Mindedness:

    • Embrace diverse perspectives and be open to different opinions and experiences.
    • Foster an environment where participants feel comfortable expressing their thoughts, even if they differ from your own.
    • Approach discussions with a willingness to listen and learn from others.
  3. No Harassment or Bullying:

    • Do not engage in any form of harassment, cyberbullying, or intimidation towards others.
    • Refrain from sharing personal information or private conversations without explicit consent.
    • Report any instances of harassment or bullying to the administrators or moderators for appropriate action.
  4. Fact-Based Discussions:

    • Support your arguments with credible sources and factual information.
    • Avoid spreading misinformation or engaging in baseless speculation.
    • Encourage evidence-based discussions that contribute to a better understanding of the issues at hand.
  5. No Spam or Irrelevant Content:

    • Refrain from posting irrelevant or repetitive content that may detract from meaningful discussions.
    • Avoid excessive self-promotion or solicitation.
    • Respect the designated topics and purpose of each online group or platform.
  6. Privacy and Confidentiality:

    • Respect the privacy and confidentiality of individuals’ personal information and conversations.
    • Do not share sensitive or confidential information without proper authorization.
    • Obtain explicit consent before sharing any personal or identifiable information.
  7. Adherence to Platform Rules:

    • Follow the terms of service, community guidelines, and rules of the social media platforms or online groups where discussions take place.
    • Respect the guidelines set by the administrators or moderators of the group or platform.
  8. Report Inappropriate Behavior:

    • Report any instances of inappropriate behavior, violations of guidelines, or concerns to the administrators or moderators.
    • Provide specific details and evidence when reporting to facilitate proper assessment and resolution.

Failure to adhere to these rules may result in moderation actions, including warnings, post removal, temporary or permanent suspension, or expulsion from the group or platform, depending on the severity and frequency of the violations.
