I declare him wanted for the act of causing disturbance of public peace and an attempt to commit serious felony by planning and putting all the plans in motion to obstruct traffic on the Third Mainland Bridge to cause hardship for Lagosians and other Nigerians. We will not allow this to happen.”

1984 to 2025.
This lawless caveman in uniform reminds me of 1984 during Gen. Buhari draconian regime of Decrees 2 & 4 used to hunt people down including protesters and media practitioners, kill, maim, detain perpetually many dissent voices.
A very lawless power drunk crude policeman had come to arrest a notorious wife beater husband at my Igbore area neighbourhood, Abeokuta. The husband was resisting the arrest. All of sudden the policeman shouted at the man, that, “Wo, anu e lo kan n’se mi, to o ko ba tele mi lero, ma fi Decree 2 gbe e. Decree 2 wa la po mi bai bai. Ewon lo ma ku si.. To ba de salo peren, ma declare wanted kia kia….(Look, I’m only pitying you. If you don’t follow me peacefully now, I will arrest you with Decree 2. Decree 2 is in my pocket now now. You will die in prison. And if you dare escape, I will declare you wanted”. Laughable.
If we say the 1984 lawless policeman from Ibara police station, Abeokuta who came to display his madness in my Igbore area, was an illiterate, what can we now say of a well educated and badly trained Commissioner of Police who declared Sowore wanted in Lagos because he led a peaceful and lawful protest without any invitation. 41 years difference, yet no difference. Sad.
