NO TO FAKE STAKEHOLDERS MEETING! DEMOLITION VICTIMS WILL NOT BE SILENCED!
The Take It Back (TIB) Movement, Lagos State Chapter, categorically rejects the sham “stakeholders meeting” scheduled to hold tomorrow, Sunday, September 28, 2025 at 10:00am inside the palace of the Oba of Oworonshoki.
This so-called meeting is nothing but a propaganda stunt designed to parade handpicked individuals as “stakeholders” in order to endorse the unjust demolition that has thrown thousands of Oworonshoki residents into the streets.

The choice of venue — the palace of the very Oba accused of engineering and benefiting from the demolitions — is an insult to the victims. It is a calculated attempt to intimidate displaced families and silence their genuine cries for justice. No victim can freely speak their mind under the watchful eyes of those behind their suffering.
The victims of demolition are the true stakeholders — not the cronies and puppets invited to this stage-managed meeting.
The Lagos State Government must stop hiding behind traditional authorities to legitimize oppression.
The people of Oworonshoki will not be bullied into silence.
The demolition victims demand justice, compensation, and resettlement — not staged endorsements of their own oppression.
Tomorrow’s meeting is a fraud, and we will not allow it to pass unchallenged. The people will organize, resist, and expose every attempt to silence their voices.
An injury to one is an injury to all!
Signed:
Adekunle Adeyemi Taofeek
Lagos State Coordinator, Take It Back (TIB) Movement
