Subject: Urgent Rehabilitation of Ogui Road Police Station

Dear Sir/Madam,

On behalf of TIB Global, through our Enugu office, we wish to draw your urgent attention to the deplorable state of infrastructure at the Ogui Road Police Station. During a recent visit to report an incident, our representative observed conditions that undermine both the efficiency of law enforcement and public confidence in the institution.

Key Observations:

1. Officers recording reports were forced to rely on light from mobile phones due to lack of electricity supply.
2. The investigative office used for interviews was furnished with worn-out tables and benches, creating an unprofessional environment.
3. Ceilings in several areas had collapsed or were badly stained from roof leakages.
4. The living quarters for officers are in dire need of rehabilitation, and one building within the compound remains abandoned.

Recommendations:

• Immediate provision of standby rechargeable solar-powered lighting to ensure continuity of operations during power outages.
• Comprehensive renovation of the station’s infrastructure to restore dignity to officers and confidence among the public.

The police station is meant to symbolize safety and order. Its current state, however, conveys neglect and erodes trust in law enforcement. We strongly urge the government to prioritize the rehabilitation of Ogui Road Police Station as a matter of public interest and institutional integrity.
