N30bn or N50bn? The big question is, did the public / media/victims know about it? – Written by Adeola Soetan

Since the Bodija disaster was in the news all through, every support and effort supposed to be in the open all through. If not, Makinde stands indicted. This is the question Gov.Makinde needs to answer and give detailed account on how the fund was spent, to clear his name from allegation of “mago mago” by a straying Fayose.

By the way, N30bn or N50bn fund released from the president to the governor supposed not to be a secret love affair between the giver and the receiver, it should be of public knowledge. If the receiver kept mum, as being alleged, the giver should have announced it for public accountability since it’s not from his private purse

I had written about it several times after the “oil subsidy” was removed by Tinubu, taxes & levies increased and lives became more unbearable for the citizens while most state governors suddenly became richer than their states because of too much money through increased federal allocation and stealing of LG allocations, that more money to governors might be a form of bribe, for political patronage and support for Tinubu’s second term agenda instead of any superb performances.

It’s to help the governors increase their looting skill. Making citizens poorer by removing their economic gains via Subsidies and make governors & the president more comfortable with extra @ public funds to loot and spend “yafun yafun” for their extravagant lifestyles that we are witnessing now.
