Tinubu Regime Reportedly Spends N5.1 billion on Vehicles in Three Weeks

According to a document from the public payments portal Govspend, the Nigerian presidency under Bola Tinubu have spent N5.1 billion on vehicle purchases between August 18 and September 9, a period of just 21 days.

The data indicates that each of these Prados was purchased at a cost of N212 million. Additionally, it was also revealed that on September 9th, an additional N1.7 billion was allocated for the procurement of ten 2023 Toyota Camry V4s, with each car priced at N170 million.

Recent report by SaharaReporters have revealed that Nigeria’s debt profile has soared by over N46 trillion under the current administration of President Bola Tinubu.

This significant increase is further exacerbated by the N4.4 trillion spent on debt servicing as of the second quarter of 2024.

These mismanagement goes on as Nigerians continue to endure escalating hardships as the nation’s economic well-being deteriorates under the strain of corruption pervading all sectors of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

The government’s refusal to address the worsening economic situation and its neglect of citizens’ welfare have amplified concerns over the nation’s financial stability. These issues are further compounded by the government’s persistent implementation of neoliberal policies that have exacerbated poverty and inequality across the country.

Despite the growing discontent among Nigerians, the administration has yet to demonstrate a commitment to addressing their needs and alleviating the widespread suffering caused by corruption and economic mismanagement.
