Human rights activist and convener of the RevolutionNow movement, Omoyele Sowore has criticized Nigerian President Tinubu and his entourage’s visit to France.
He made this known in a Facebook post titled “COLO-MENTALITY,” where he lambasted President Tinubu’s delegation for leaving their duties to meet with French President Macron. Sharing a picture of the delegation lining up to shake hands with Macron, Sowore called them “jobless old men,” asserting that Macron must be shocked by their behavior. Sowore predicted they would return to Nigeria only to await Tinubu’s arrival at the airport.
“This boy from France must be shocked at how full-grown men left their duty posts in Nigeria to come and shake hands with him in Paris after a red eye. Jobless old men! You can bet they will still return to Nigeria and wait at the airport to receive T-Pain. #RevolutionNow”, he wrote.
President Tinubu had on Wednesday evening arrived in France for a three-day state visit with many of his delegates, including his wife Oluremi Tinubu. They were formally welcomed on Thursday by French President Emmanuel Macron at the historic French Military Museum in Hôtel National des Invalides, Paris.
