Agena Bob of Take It Back Movement Demands Immediate Release of Pastor Abraham Daniel, Two Others, Condemns Paul Enenche’s Actions

Agena Bob, one of the leaders of the Take It Back Movement’s Abuja branch, has publicly reacted to the recent arrest of former pastor Abraham Daniel and two others by Paul Enenche, the founder of Dunamis Church.

Bob who took to his social media handle on Monday expressed his concern over the arrests and emphasized the importance of protecting freedom of expression in Nigeria.

He wrote, “The Police invited Abraham Daniel and Paul Enenche’s younger brother (Alex Enenche) to return back today. I hope they continue to be professional in handling this issues … We are watching! NO MAN no matter how infuencial HAS THE RIGHTS TO SILENT ANY OTHER MAN IN NIGERIA OVER PERSONAL SELFISHNESS! We are not in a banana Republic.”

In a subsequent post by Bob shortly after it was revealed by Saharareporters that Pastor Abraham and Eneche’s brothers had been detained and charged to court, Bob wrote, “Their alleged offense is simply that they voiced out their concerns against Dr. Paul.

“They were charged for chatting to each other. Paul’s brother exposed some family secrets to the Ex-pastor Daniel Abraham allegedly. He Complained how Dr. Paul is maltreating family members and Abraham allegedly posted it online.

“This is simply why the police charged them under cyber crimes act for cyber bullying Dr. Paul.

“THERE IS NO SINGLE JUSTIFICATION TO JAIL ANY BODY HERE. ITS SIMPLY WICKEDNESS IN THE HIGHEST ORDER!!!!!”

Alexander and Enenche Enenche are both brothers of Pastor Paul Enenche, the senior pastor of the Dunamis International Gospel Church while Abraham Daniel is a former pastor at the Dunamis church.

The duo were reportedly taken to the Keffi Custodial Centre of the Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) on Monday evening following a remand order the Nigerian Police Force secured from the Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja.

Upon honouring the police invitation, Mr. Enenche Enenche and Alexander Enenche (brothers of Pastor Paul Enenche) as well as Abraham Daniel (a former Pastor at Dunamis Church) were kept in the police custody till Monday evening, SaharaReporters learnt.

Reports had earlier revealed that on January 8, the Intelligence Department of the Nigerian police released the duo on bail.

Alex Enenche and Daniel were arrested and detained on January 7, 2025, of allegations of cyberbullying and criminal defamation against Pastor Paul Enenche, but were released the following day (last Wednesday) after an agreement was reached to resolve the matter amicably.

Alex Enenche and Abraham Daniel were instructed to report to the Force Intelligence Department (FID) on Friday, January 10, 2025, and Monday, January 13, 2025.

SaharaReporters reported on Tuesday that the FID had detained Daniel and Alexander Eneche, following their appearance at the department in response to a police invitation.

However, upon their reporting to the Force Headquarters on Monday, a source told SaharaReporters that they were kept in police custody “till this evening and then brought a remand order from a Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 6 this night to remand them in prison.”

“Upon honouring the Police invitation, Mr. Enenche Enenche, Alexander Enenche ( brothers of Pastor Paul Enenche) and Abraham Daniel (a former Pastor at Dunamis Church) were kept in Police custody till this evening when they brought a remand order from a Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja.

“The police claimed to have gotten an Order from the Magistrate Court, Zone 6, Abuja for their remand.

“The name of the Magistrate and number of days etc not yet known at the moment,” said the source.

“Currently the three of them – Mr. Enenche Enenche, Alexander Enenche (brothers of Pastor Paul Enenche) and Abraham Daniel (a former Pastor at Dunamis Church) have been taken to Keffi Prison on remand.”
