The Take-It-Back (TIB) Movement Ondo State Chapter has declared breakthrough in its ongoing campaign for justice as a Magistrate Court in Akure, Ondo State, reduced the detention period of Adelokiki and two others, following mounting pressure and legal resistance.

The case, involving allegations against the Okitipupa Oil Palm Company (OOPC), has seen growing public interest, particularly as the TIB continues to confront what it describes as corporate-backed oppression against ordinary citizens.
Present in court to observe and lend weight to the proceedings were Comrade Jan Oladipupo, Jeff Oladapo, and Prophet Kolawole—all members of the TIB, who have remained active in monitoring developments.
Despite attempts by OOPC’s legal team and its Managing Director, Mr. Taiwo Adewole, to prolong the detention of the trio, the legal defense led by Barrister Gbenga Akinkuotu countered forcefully, prompting the court to shift course.
Comrade Kolawole Prophet, TIB’s Ondo State Organising Secretary, emphasized that the partial release was not a gift from the system but a direct result of consistent grassroots pressure. “What happened today wasn’t charity—it was a product of struggle. Our people stood firm, and the court had no choice but to bend,” he stated.
The Take It Back Movement Ondo State Chapter is now calling for a massive turnout at the court on Friday, May 9, 2025, when a key ruling in the case is expected. “We’re not done,” Kolawole added. “We urge all justice-loving citizens to be present. We’ll keep pushing until the full truth comes out and those targeted are completely free.”
