The Abuja Chapter of the Take It Back Movement has paid an advocacy visit to two prominent civil rights lawyers, in recognition of their unwavering commitment to justice and the protection of human rights in Nigeria.

According to the Movement’s Abuja Coordinator, Rex Elanu, the visit was part of ongoing efforts to build alliances with individuals and groups who have demonstrated dedication to defending the oppressed and advocating for an egalitarian society.
“In a grossly unjust society like Nigeria,” Elanu said, “it’s only ideal to recognize and appreciate voices who have consistently stood up for the oppressed, upholding our constitutional rights and protecting our dignity as humans.”

The lawyers, Seprebofa M. Oyeghe and Ak Musa, were commended for their active roles in the civil rights space, often standing beside citizens and revolutionaries in the fight for social justice.
Rex described them as “lawyers who have distinguished themselves as civil rights advocates, walking and working tirelessly beside revolutionaries and citizens, in the struggle for an egalitarian society.”

Elanu noted that the meeting was marked by a cordial exchange of ideas, with discussions centered on shared values and mutual interests in promoting justice, equity, and human dignity. “It was an honor and pleasure to share some cordial moments with them, discussing issues of mutual interests,” he added.
