TAKE IT BACK MOVEMENT SECURES RELEASE OF EMMANUEL EDOSO, LUKMON ISIAKA AMID FALSE ALLEGATIONS

The Take It Back (TIB) Movement Legal Aid Committee has announced the successful discharge of Emmanuel Edoso and Lukmon Isiaka in two separate cases of alleged stealing.

The Committee’s intervention provided legal representation and support for both individuals who maintained their innocence throughout the proceedings.

According to the report provided by the Legal Aid Committee, on Friday, February 21st, 2025, the cases of Commissioner of Police v. Emmanuel Edoso and Commissioner of Police v. Lukmon Isiaka were brought before Magistrate Court 15 in Ogba, Agege. In both cases, the defendants were accused of stealing but lacked legal representation.

Terhemba Kaabega of the Tope Temokun Chambers, acting on behalf of the TIB Legal Aid Committee, provided legal counsel for both Edoso and Isiaka during the proceedings. As a result of the Committee’s dedicated support, the Magistrate Court discharged both individuals.

According to Barrister Bolaji Oluwatosin, also representing the TIB Legal Aid, he made it known while rendering his comments that Emmanuel Edoso and Lukmon Isiaka, have been wrongfully imprisoned in Kirikiri Maximum Facility for five months.

“We are relieved to announce that Emmanuel Edoso and Lukmon Isiaka, who had been wrongfully imprisoned in Kirikiri Maximum Facility for five months, have now been released.

“Our work to address wrongful imprisonment cases continues, and we are actively pursuing justice for several other individuals in similar situations. We will provide updates on these cases in due course, as we remain steadfast in our commitment to upholding the rights of those unjustly detained.”, he said.
