TAKE IT BACK MOVEMENT CALLS ON NJC TO ARREST FEDERAL HIGH COURT REGISTRAR, DELTA AG — DEMANDS IMMEDIATE RELEASE OF COMRADE IGHORHIOHWUNU AGHOGHO

The Take It Back Movement, Delta State Chapter, expresses unrestrained outrage over the illegal, orchestrated, and state-sponsored persecution of Comrade Ighorhiohwunu Aghogho — an unshakable human rights defender, anti-child trafficking campaigner, and former Delta State Coordinator of our Movement — now facing brutal victimisation in Charge No: FHC/WR/92C/2022 before the Federal High Court, Warri.

On April 18, 2024, an unfiled, fraudulent, and malicious letter — dated April 8, 2024, authored by Mr. J.A. Amahi, Esq. of the Delta State Ministry of Justice — was illegally smuggled into court records and read by Justice I.M. Sani (now JCA), in outright violation of due process. This false document targeted a legally verified surety who had already been cleared by court order on March 21, 2024.

At no point was Deputy Chief Registrar (DCR) Mr. Pius Iorzua authorised to channel this letter through the backdoor, bypassing court rules and denying the defence any right of response. This brazen act of criminal conspiracy, judicial sabotage, and abuse of office must be answered for.

Comrade Aghogho has correctly named Attorney-General Ekemejero Ohwovoriole, SAN, and the following prosecutors as central conspirators:

Mrs. Efe Odogwu Jesin

Mrs. A.L. Aikpokpo Martins

Mr. J.A. Amahi

Ms. Modupe Olamide Anthony

Mr. P.N. Etumudon

It is also credibly alleged that court staff in Warri have been systematically extorting defendants, including Comrade Aghogho — who was forced to pay ₦500,000 through Mr. Pius Iorzua (via proxy Mr. Joshua Okerememta Oletu) to obtain bail — a shocking act of corruption that must result in immediate prosecution.

Despite a formal application by former defence counsel M.A. Iyoke, Esq., seeking release of bail records, the court has refused to provide the documents — deepening suspicions of a deliberate cover-up.

Following Daily Post Nigeria’s lawful report on June 15, 2025, confirming that Form 48 had been duly filed and served on the Delta State AG, DCR Iorzua — in collusion with Justice H.A. Nganjiwa — maliciously orchestrated the illegal revocation of Comrade Aghogho’s bail, falsely accusing him of leaking the report.

Let it be clear: the Form 48 document is a public record under Section 102(a)(III) of the Evidence Act, fully protected under Section 260 of ACJA 2015. No court restriction barred its publication — nor did Comrade Aghogho’s bail conditions prohibit public communication, except falsehoods (which he has never committed).

The false, defamatory, and malicious presumption by Justice H.A. Nganjiwa that Aghogho leaked the report is refuted by the fact that Daily Post Nigeria clearly published it under its own name.

There is no lawful order nor prosecutorial application to justify Comrade Aghogho’s continued imprisonment. His detention constitutes a gross constitutional violation, weaponisation of the judiciary, and state-sponsored persecution of a child rights hero.

Worse, we have credible intelligence of an assassination plot being coordinated to eliminate Comrade Aghogho while in detention. The Federal Government of Nigeria, the Federal High Court Warri, and all conspirators will be held fully accountable for any harm done to him.

Further, intelligence has confirmed a secret meeting held on June 16, 2025, between Justice H.A. Nganjiwa and prosecution witness S.B. Irabor, in the judge’s chambers immediately after the illegal bail revocation — a shocking breach of judicial ethics and neutrality.

The Take It Back Movement DEMANDS:

The IMMEDIATE AND UNCONDITIONAL RELEASE of Comrade Ighorhiohwunwu Aghogho from unlawful detention.

The IMMEDIATE ARREST AND PROSECUTION of Mr. Pius Iorzua, for corruption, conspiracy, abuse of office, and obstruction of justice.

The ARREST AND DISCIPLINARY PROSECUTION of Attorney-General Ekemejero Ohwovoriole, SAN, and the named prosecutors for gross misconduct and unlawful interference with judicial process.

A FULL AND PUBLIC NJC INVESTIGATION into this disgraceful abuse of the court in FHC/WR/92C/2022.

That the Nigerian Government act immediately to foil the assassination plot against Comrade Aghogho and guarantee his safety.

We call on all patriotic Nigerians, the legal profession, civil society, media, and international human rights organisations to unite against this growing tyranny and weaponisation of Nigeria’s judiciary.

The Take It Back Movement will not relent. We will continue to mobilise — in Nigeria and worldwide — to secure justice for Comrade Ighorhiohwunwu Aghogho, and to expose all those working to silence voices for the oppressed.

SIGNED:
TAKE IT BACK MOVEMENT
Delta State Chapter
Dated this 18th day of June, 2025
